242 Dash Light Problem 200

40c,

I had a similar problem related to the service light... every time I hit a bump, or cornered hard, the light came on... no matter how many times I checked the reset lever behind the cluster. Eventually, I found a small broken wire on the cluster that was grounding itself when shifting around.

I would pull the instrument cluster and very carefully (even if you need to magnify) check the circut board and related wiring. Then, check the grounds. It may be so simple too... check the plugs on the back of the cluster -are they seated properly?

Peace, Jon
