740 Trans. Swap: 89 into an 88

Yes, the transmissions are intechangeable but you will have to swap the bell housing from the 89 trans and put it on the 88 to make it compatible with the ignition system. Also you have to change the kick-down cable and im not sure about the drive flange,you might have to swap them.The flange is no big deal as the govenor splines are all the same.
