Bilstein HDs 200

I just recently had a set of TME sport springs and Bilstein HDs put on my 85 DL. I was just wondering if anyone that has these on their car has tried the old bumper test to see how stiff they are. I did the "test" on mine and their is barely any movement in the front. Will they "loosen" up after they settle a bit or did I perform the test wrong? The shop that put them in said they thought the struts werent made for the car even though I checked the serial numbers for the shocks and struts on Bilstein's website. Could their be any possible way that the shop installed them wrong, or should I just loosen up and enjoy the ride? Thanks for your help.
