Just as an extra to this:

My indicator switch won't hold in the right position, it keeps on slipping back to 'neutral'. However if you signal right and then hold the switch and turn the steering wheel left, there is a click and then it stays.

Is the hold and self cancel mechanism repairable easily or am I looking at a replacement switch + mechanism?
