Interior 444-544

I would like to remove the fabric covered rubber tubing that goes around the doors on the inside. I am sure it has a name but....
If anyone has replaced these, a little guidance would be appreciated.

It looks like the headliner needs to be removed, or at least half removed. I have never done this and not sure where to start. At the front by first removing the sun visors and dome light? Does the headliner just snap off at the top of the windshield?

At the rear of the door openings there is a strip that goes from the floor to the headliner and I assume this needs to be removed. It looks like nails holding these pieces on. Just pry them off? Will they go back?

The interier was redone by a previous owner with the exception of these fabric cover tubing and they look pretty bad.
