No start: Electrical/Injector problem 700 1988

I may be mistaken but my 88 740 LH2.2 (I no longer have it) had the relay and I believe it was mounted on or very near the coolant reservoir. It's purpose is to supply constant 12V to the injectors with key on. Even though it gives 12V on your meter it may not be passing sufficient current when the injectors are actually fired when the ECU pulses the other side of the injector coils to ground. That relay can be resoldered just like the fuel pump relays.
