loss of power and hesitation in second gear at 22oo rpms 700

Hi to anyone who can answer this,

It appears as though my fuel injectors are clogged and I've had some success with using chevron techron,......but today my 1987 740 GLE could not rev past 3500rpm and would not hold a rev for about 5 minutes, so I put in some more techron and it started to work about 5 minutes later. A few days ago when I started up and backed out of my driveway the car died out 2 times and the third time it was fine for the day. So what is the possible story here! I put a new electronic fuel pump in and had a tune up in November 2003 and that's when all the stuff with the hesitation started (whereby the mechanic deduced it was the fuel injectors and suggested the techron solution) Please somebody help me! I have to se my car to go to work.
Thanks,
Lesley
ps
I have 192,000 miles on it!
