Weird Electrical (Alternator?) Problem 200 1984

Hey Chopper, let me know what you find. I was having the same problem on my 1990 244DL. Random warning lights would illuminate at half brightness, then go out. I usually got brake failure, parking brake and SRS. This went on for a couple of nights. I planned to check the grounds behind the dash when I got a chance. However, this morning I got the SRS light on only followed shortly by complete engine shutdown and indications of a dead battery. Since I was on I-95 N at the mixing bowl in Springfield VA I did not do any troubleshooting and had it towed to a gas station. I'm wondering if the alternator was going but not illuminating its own light.
