Hi Surge:
They are made to work best on premium fuel, but have a knock sensor that will adjust the timing so it can use regular fuel, although the mileage is not as good with regular fuel.

In this section you will find a discussion of the common problem areas in this model and links to other areas of discussion about the 960s. My assessment is that people either like the cars a lot or they hate them. It appears somewhat related to whether they have a car with real problems or not. I have not had some of the serious problems others have had. My car drives well, is comfortable, has a powerful engine, and, by luxury car standards, a spartan but pleasant interior. It is somewhat more expensive to keep up, so keep that in mind, also.
