tail lite circuit board question 200 1989

I need to buy a left hand tail lite ass'y for my '89 Volvo. I've been looking on ebay...there are several available. Mine is the chrome. Anyway...I need to know how to tell the difference between the circuit boards. If I purchase the left hand ass'y on ebay...and it has a different type of circuit board...it may cause my bulb sensor relay to go crazy. So..how do I ensure that whatever I purchase on ebay will "balance-out" with the right hand ass'y? By the way...one of the bulb holders on my car is white.
