Newbie 240 owner

I guess I sounded a little picky - your "legend" from the PO is a really good one. The car should be great.

One thing to consider for the 1985 body style is a "snow cap" as they are called in Sweden, in the sunny south, FL and TX they have another name. It's a Volvo item, black plastic, that snaps on and covers the air intake grille in front of the windshield. IPD sometimes has them, they sell fast.

I have pine trees over my driveways so I have the caps on my operational 240s. They really work. Keeps out a lot of stuff. Thus the air pathways and rocker panels will not get filled with potentially rust-generating wet leaves etc.

Your car has 200,000 or more miles in it. Enjoy.

Regards,

Bob
