Sometimes: And even then after a wait of 30 minutes to an hour it will fire right up ---- doesn't seem to be related to leting cool down as it does not always act this way. (It is not flooded during any of these times)
I have done practically all the great stuff recommended here but am still stumped as the car continues to be off and running on most occasions.
The car without fail always starts even on the coldest days after it has had a nights rest -- this is Buffalo after all --- I can zip from here to there stop and turn off car for any period of time from 5 minutes to several hours and for varrying amount of miles from 2 to 50 and on almost every occasion it will fire right up --- sometimes when I stop for a sign it has a tendence to sound as it may falter but as long as I feed it some gas by pumping slightly it keeps right on going.
When I first had the problem I found that when I would keep trying to start the car I was turning it on and off too fast and it would just never start that way. Once while waiting on the tow truck I decided to just turn the ignition on and leave it on for five minutes or so ---- and guess what it jumped to life just as the tow truck pulled up. Waiting from 2 to 10 minutes with ignition on before trying to start worked well up until today when nothing worked until the tow truck droped the car off in my garage, I tried the car as soon as he droped it but it would not start (it turns over very forcefully and does have spart). In another 15 minutes it cranked right up and for 20 more times that I tried it worked flawlesslee. Have started it every hour for the past 6 and it continues to jump to life as I am sure it will when I leave here at 5am tomorrow.
Any other suggestions would be very much appreicated.
