sputters at half a tank of gas 700 1986

I recently bought a 86 740 turbo and it seem that everytime i fill up with gas and then travel 140-150 miles the engine begins to sputter. If i fill up (it will only take 7-8 gallons) it ceases, but as soon as i go another 140-150 miles it starts again. The car had a new fuel injector, fuel pump, and fuel filter before I bought it. The sputter feels like a car that is almost out of gas and occurs at take off, high rpms, and low rpms, as long as you are applying pressure to the accelerator, (no sputter at idle). I have gone as far as 20-25 miles after the sputter started b/f a fill up and it did not seem to get worse..

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
