92 960 no spark 900 1992

After replacing the head , the result of a timing belt breaking, I can't get the engine to spark. No codes from the computer but if you leave something unplugged you get a spark. 6 volts on both leads going to the coils. Anyone have an idea how to trouble shoot this ignition system? Thanks Harry
