Strange Tachometer problem

i recently experienced similar problems with a recent installation of the large tach and small clock. prior to the installation, the left side of the cluster's halogen light did not work, and the directional light stayed on.

i installed the tack/clock combo, changed the halogen out, and still did not get light or tach operation.

it was suggested that the cluster circuit board was bad. i swapped one out and everything works perfectly. if it's not the connections, consider the circuit board.
