Center Driveline Support Rubber?? 200

Sorry I hit the wrong button the previous message. My question is how much play or movement should there be in the rubber support on the middle of the driveline? My '86 with 200K+ miles has about 6-8mm ( 1/4" to 5/16") of vertical movement. The bearing is fine and u-joints are fine.I can see that the rubber support is loose although it is not cracked or torn. The spring is still in the low half to the crossmember.I can't find any reference to play or travel in the Bentley manual or Haynes. Maybe this is normal??? Any help or advise is appreciated. Thanks.
