Sunroof conversion electric to manual 700

My newly purchased 740 had a bad sunroof motor - actually motor worked, but one or both of the soloneid micro-switches failed (I took them apart, cleaned points, etc still just the "click sound"). Went to the local salvage yard and found two 740's - one with manual sunroof, one with electric. Took manual assembly and the electric motor (tested good and price was cheap with 30 day warranty!!). I think the manual is the way to go. Electric motor is fine, but fails to drive sunroof into fully seated position - back of sunroof is 1/4 inch too low. Otherwise moves forward/backward fine. Does the motor need to be fully zeroed?

Thanks
Jay
