Crank Pulley and Harmonic Balancer Show and Tell 900 1993

Last weekend I noticed some vibration at low rpm on the crank pulley and with the help of the FAQ and a few brickboarders, it was correctly diagnosed as the harmonic balancer on its way out. (136K miles, 11 years old). I did manage to drive another 500 miles without incident. I noticed at highway rpm, no vibes, so I figured it was ok for a little while.

So, I was thinking of cutting the thing apart and taking a few pics to show Brickboarders a cross sectional view.

Would the best way to cut it be along the diameter?

Tom
