760 Nivomat conversion questions 700

Hi all. My dreaded Nivomats are leaking, with the L/h side bottoming out. I'm considering the conversion option offered by 2LT Belmont, and offered on this site and others. Has anyone else tackled this ? I am particularly interested in any responses to the use of 240 series H.D. wagon springs: Are spreaders still needed with these? If I understood the good lieutnants procedure, the attaching devise from the bottom end of the Nivomat was removed, and installed (pressed) inside the B46-1662 bushing, without further modification to the B46-1662. Is this correct ?

Thanks for any clarification / help.....
Robert
