Replacing Rear Speakers In Doors 200 1991

So I am new to the VOLVO world, just got a 1991 Volvo 240 Sedan with 101,000 miles. I have done all the belts, brakes, etc and now I am doing something about the sound. So here is my problem: previous owner put in a great new CD player stereo, but left the old factory speakers in. Well, they stink of course. So I went to BEST BUY and CIRCUIT CITY this weekend to look at replacements. BB said they could not replace the rear speakers in the doors and keep the original factory covers on them. They said I needed to buy speakers that came with covers. All the ones they showed me had crazy colors and swirls and stuff on them, so that killed that purchase. So I went over to CC and they said they could replace the speakers but they would have to order new aftermarket Volvo factory covers to fit over the hole. Does any of this sound normal? I have been on Ebay and Volvo Parts to see if I could find these new aftermarket speaker covers for Volvo and nothing. Why can’t you just buy speakers that can fit in there? Thanks for your help.
