One for the FAQ re. water leaks 700 1991

Had a significant water leak on the driver's side, floor was all wet. Tried the FAQ suggestion about the air vent on the left but that was dry as a bone. Went to the car wash and watched carefully to see where the leak was coming from. Turns out the water was coming through the hole in the firewall where the hood latch cable goes through. The little black rubber sleeve had slipped out and there was an open hole there. The sleeve was in perfect shape so I coaxed it back in and now my problem is solved. I don't believe the FAQ's said anything about this as a possible source of water leaks. Thanks.

BTW, I was pleased to see that the floor pan of this 13-year-old car is pristine, bright red just like the car, no signs of rust of any kind (praise God!).
