Spotted Glass 700 1992

My car is suffering from badly spotted windows and mirrors. I'm not sure if it's rain spots or a car wash that was done poorly. I've washed the windows/mirrors several times with several different cleaners - still lots of spots. I've thought of taking CLR to it but am resisting that due to worries of what that would do to the paint and the weather stripping. Any suggestions?
