Stalling while hot. 700 1986

Hello, Thanks for the advise so far. What parts of the ignition system should I check. All the HT leads were changed along with the distributor cap, rotor arm and spark plugs 4 months ago with genuine volvo parts. Are there any other ignition parts I should look at? When the ignition is on while cranking you can hear a whirring sound. Sound seems to be coming from under the seat. There seems to be a fuel pump in the engine bay and that is sometimes quite noisy/rattly. You can hear it in the car, and when you open the bonnet. When you touch it you can feel it pulsating, so may need replacing. Many thanks James.
