240 'Limited Edition' (not a Classic)? 200

Got a 10 second glimpse of what looked like a mid to late eighties 240 wagon with a badge that said "240 DL" and then in smaller letters (about the same size as the letters Intercooler in the early 740 turbos) below "Limited Edition". Anybody know anything about this, like years made, options etc? Did a quick search thru the archives and FAQ and struck out. It was white, had alloy wheels and no roof rack and then it was gone into the bizarely warm mid-Atlanic night. Been following 240's for while and never heard of this beast.
