m47 drain & fill bolts..

working on my brothers 245 this weekend (new to him...) did the complete fluids change thing...and couldnt shift wither the drain or fill plugs onn his m47...thought it would be like my m46 (aka dead easy)...gave it greif until the bolts started to round over (this with a good 6 sided socket!)..so coated with plus gas, then creamed with grease to help seal it in and hes driving around in it...

anyone got any tips or tricks on this one? (accepting that when we try again the plus gas may have done the trick..)
