Should I just rewire my speakers 200

Okay,I'm not sure if there is a commen ground stereo set up in my volvo, I however, did notice that the wireing harness form the old radio had what I think to be two wire spliced into the stereo ground. Since I will no longer be using this harness, because it is attached to the stock old stereo, and the speakers wont be grounded anymore I think, I'm thinking I should just Replace my speaker wire and plug it right into my new stereo. Does this indicate a commen ground? I would eventually like to replace the speakers, so new wires might be good in the long run? If I do this, is it easy to get the old wire out and the new wire in? I know that I have to go through the door harness area. If I was to do this, would I be able to put it back to stock, say if on an off chance I either wanted to restore or sell the car.?...Ie. how are the old speaker wires attached? Would putting new speaker wire in just be as simple an connecting the two ends to the speakers and two ends to the stereo? If I feeding wires through the door harness area, do I have to worry about leaks being caused?

Thank you very much! And Happy Bricking!
