System is Too Rich 900 1996

I don't believe that it is the intake gasket, here is why; the system runs rich, not lean. You have a coil wiring problem, or a ignition amplifier going bad. I would take the cover off and check the wiring going to the coils, look for breaks in the wires that would cause the wire to short. If there are no problems then check the amp. it will be the front one. That controls the first three cylinders spark. If it was just no. 1 I would suspect the coil itself, but since it involves no. 2 I would be more inclined to go for the amp. Good luck and don't buy the parts from Autozone, they carry some real junk for replacement parts. Sped
