Rear center seatbelt S90-V90 1998

My wife and I had a little girl last week (cute as a button I might add!) and I was putting the base of the car seat in the center of the rear seat. I put my knee on the base and pulled the seat belt to cinch it down tight. A plastic piece on the back of the clip (the part that goes through the belt itself) broke off. Very unusual since I've put car seats in this car numerous times. I took the car by the Volvo dealer and they wanted almost $550 to replace the whole seatbelt assembly!!! Any ideas on how to get this done for less? We are using a metal belt-clip that came with the seat base for the time being. I was able to get the base in very tightly using this.

Thanks!
