Many years ago there was an article in the Volvo Club of America "Rolling Magazine" about making the 240 series interval wipers variably timed. I performed this modification on our 1984 and it worked great. All that was needed was a potentiometer and some wire. One of the resistors on the interval relay was removed and the potentiometer was wired in its place. If the 700's use the same style relay then the mod should work. I have misplaced the magazine, but maybe someone here would have a copy and would share the article with us. Since we bought the 240 new in 1984, the magazine probably would be from '84-'86.
