Alternator Upgrade 200

I have a 1986 Volvo 240 DL Station Wagon with the B230F engine and an automatic transmission. The car's accessories, such a windshield wipers and directional flashers have slowed up and stoped when I put the newly installed accessories are turned out. I think the car has the standard 55 amp unit. How can I upgrade this unit with one that has greater amps. Are there any American alternators at 200 amp that can be installed to replace the Bosch unit. Will the 100 amp unit from a V70 fit in a 240?
