Another thing to consider is you "may" get a boost in performance with a standard replacement cat. If you existing cat is really bad, it could be causing a flow restriction resulting in deceased performance. I replaced my cat last week, and haven't had much drive time with it, but the car does feel more responsive. Could just be in my mind though.
