what I did the last time I had to pull the pulley to replace the felt seal(prior to installing a rebuilt B20 with a neoprene seal) was to put a socket and breaker bar on the crank pulley nut, turn it into a position so that the end of the bar was being stopped by the ground (you have to know which way the pulley is going to rotate), and then gave the ignition a goose or two, which easily broke the bolt loose.
