87-760T stops in warm weather 700 1987

Hello folks,

I am a new member here signed up today. I have an 87 760T station wagon. I have been having problem with the engine. In warm weather say 65 degree, while driving the engine runs but the car slows down. If it idles it will start running fine again for about 2 min then goes back to low idle. If the engine quit, then I can not start the car for 30-40 minutes.

Here is what I have done so far. One mechanic suggested that there is a block in the fuel regulator and I got it changed. One suggested Fuel Relay pump and got it changed. The problem only occurs in warm weather. No issues at even 10 below 0 degrees. My understanding is that cold weather->more fuel and warm weather->less fuel and therefore, in warm weather more fuel is sent (thinking it is cold) and it looks like the carb is flooded. Could it be true?

If anyone can provide some input, I would greatly appreciate.

Joel
