is this a transmission problem? 200

Hi, last weekend I replaced my Mom's transmission oil cooler return line as it was leaking. When I test drove the car after the repair I have noticed that the car would lose power after about 10 mins. of driving. If I turn off and restart the car it would run fine until after about a couple of mins. it would lose power again. is it possible that the transmission was damaged by the low fluid level because of the leak? Thanks for any suggestions/opinions.
