T5 conversion 140-160

Just a word about our transmission conversions so no one gets confused.
I don't want anyone complaining that they had trouble installing the trans conversion "kit" because they are not kits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you want a conversion done for you, bring your car to our shop and we will do it.
If you can do it yourself, we will provide the key parts that you cannot get anywhere else. These are normally the adpater plate for the bellhousing to transmission, and in the 240/740 some machining of the bell housing. If you have never taken a transmission out and replaced it, it may not be a good idea to learn on a T5 swap. For those of you who have taken out and reinstalled transmissions before, have taken out driveshafts for repair, replaced clutches, etc., coming up with the additional parts to do the swap should not be a problem.

And as for greenteagod, I suggest that you disconnect the driveshaft from both the transmission and the rearend and move it out of the way before trying to take out the transmission. Also take out the shifter.
