if the clutch IS gone, go ahead and get a scrapyard comrpessor. taking off the clutch is a job that i will never ever ever ever think of doing. to take off the little spring clips on the bearings you pretty much have to work upside-down and backwards with a pair of pliers.

just replacing the compressor seems a little more pleasent. and i picked up the compressor for 75bucks.
