'81 Turbo No Crank... 200 1981

Turn on the key, warning lights come on. Try to crank the engine, nothing but a click, sounds like the starter and the dash goes dead. Battery shows a charge with a meter. If I turn the key off and then back on, I only get a weak oil pressure and alternator light and no click from the starter. Every 6 or 7 tries, the warning lights all come back on and I get the click at the starter again.

New wiring harness, all grounds cleaned and or replaced, battery cable to starter "seems" good and secure. It's first on the list of things to check when I can see out there.

The car does jump start and run fine. Did my battery take a dump overnight?
