refurbishing a radiator? 120-130

On a recent parts car I've had access to, I found this square shaped container with a wire-cage holder that screwed into one of the inside fenders on the driver's side. I figured that this looked mostly like a window-washer fluid container. My rig doesn't have that little nozzle thing for spraying the windows, so I left it.

Perhaps I was mistaken and this was actually a overflow resevoir? If it WAS a window-wash fluid container, could it perhaps be re-purposed as a catch-can? It didn't have a screw-down top, but I could probably find one. I'm guessing that perhaps they need to be able to withstand pretty hot heat?

Bonjour, Merci,

-A
