Upper strut plate? 200

Has anyone used the upper strut plates that go between strut bushing/bearing and strut tower to beef up their strut towers? Not sure if the strut bushing/bearing bolts would be long enough with both strut plates and tower to tower braces. I guess its easy to change the bolts. Seems that they might not be necessary if using either a Bucina bar or OMP bar as these bars have thick outside plates. With the Cherry Turbo bar maybe. Putting lowering springs on my Sedan and wonder if I should get these plates.
