Replacement bulbs for dash lights 700 1989

IF you can solder, and don;t mind a few extra minutes, any auto parts store will have these "baselss" mini bulbs, they are typical in dashes. You should just be able to solder them to the base. i would rather get bulbs from an auto parts outlet than radio shack, seeing as they are made for auto dash and te wattage will more likey be correct.
The dealer should have a box of miscellaneous minilamps in his stock, if you take him the complete bulb/socket (it's an intergated peice for volvo) he should have a replacement. Granted you will pay 5-6 $ at least for one. I have already bought such replacments at dealers, they need to see it to find it.

Good luck.
