Battery and alternatior test good, but no start. 200

My 87 240 sedan has a new batery, and the alternator was tested at a certified bosch auto electric shop and tested good. It has 14v at the battery terminals when running. I took the new battery and had it tested and it tested good, just to rule out a new bad batery. But every once in a while, it wont start. The battery cables are old and need replacement, so I am going to try that. All of the connections are good and tight, battery post are clean. So I am thinking battery cables?
