Effects Of Synthetic Motor Oil On Flame Trap, etc? 200 1988

My '88 240DL has unknown mileage (the odometer is frozen at 29,000 miles)but I am guessing it has a few clicks in its past. I bought this car last summer. After using synthetic motor oils on my other vehicles I decided to switch the Volvo over as well. I have been getting good results with the Wall-Mart house brand of full synthetic oil so I used the 10w-30 version of this. I have been thinking about how this may affect the flame trap and other systems on this car. My understanding is that the synthetic oil has a much more cleansing ability than regular organic oil. Will this result in cleaner flame traps, etc? For what it is worth the Synthetic oil has been in the car since Sunday with no loss of oil and no visible drips. I am open to any trick to get my car to run better and I am hoping this gives me a little better edge in the heat of running this vehicle in Southern Florida.
