A/C service fittings on 1992 and later 740/940

I came across a good A/C compressor (OEM Diesel Kiki/Zexel DKS-15) from a 1992. There are no gauge ports on the rear of the compressor where they existed until at least 1990. There are undrilled flat spots where the earlier compressor have fittings. I want to use it as a replacement on an earlier car but I need update the lines to accomodate the missing fitting. There is a second low side port on the accumulator/drier, but where did the later car locate the high side port? ...one of the two hose assemblies or is it on the metal tube running over the chassis?
