1987 740 BRAKE DISK IDENTIFICATION WITH OR WITHOUT HUB 700

It is quite likely that you have the separate hub and rotor with 10.25" diameter rotors. If you have integral hubs and rotors I recommend buying used hubs (without integral rotor), and new rotors. It is easy to upgrade from 10.25" diameter rotors to 11.25" rotors buy just buying used caliper holding brackets. Bendix and Girling use different caliper holding brackets. See the 700/900 FAQ for more information.

The front wheel bearings are the same for both integral hub and rotor and two piece hub and rotor. If you needed to buy used hubs, they would come with bearings. Just clean and grease the bearings before installing the used hubs.

If you need a set of used front hubs, let me know. I may still have a set stored in the garage.
