FRUSTRATED! How to install gas flap?? 700 1988

I replaced mine as follows:

1. Install black replacement on body with the four pins pushed in to spread the clamping points.

2. Install gas door to pivot on the two attachment points.

3. Insert spring ends into holes on bracket.

4. Tension spring (push in on center) and set into the two notches.
