wheel problem 120-130

I installed my Ford Ranger wheels (185/65-15 tires) yesterday, they are 15 x 7 and they look pretty good (deer hoof print pattern), could have used bigger wheels to better fill the wheel arches, oh well

however, I found the inside of the back right wheel touches the shock tower mounting point at the top of the fender

why would the back left wheel fit with lots of room between the wheel and the shock tower mount and the right wheel touch? the wheels are the same size

the wheel is visibly deeper into the wheel well also

did they make the car so the rear axle is offset? or has my rear suspension moved? is that possible, can it be corrected?

the tire company employee checked the two sides and he said it did not look like any damage and they looked identical but it definitely did not fit right

any suggestions?

Thanks
Robert
