window regulator broke out of the door 700

posted by  someone claiming to be muchostupido on  Wed Mar 17 16:19 CST 2004 [RELATED]

my left driver side window regulator broke and by doing that,
it also broke one of the nuts, where its fixed in the door, out.
So now there is a 3/4 inch hole there, where was the nut before.
How do I fix that ?
I was thinking about a big washer, but wouldn't the regulator
then be out of alignment ??
Welding ?
Gluing ?
Any other method ?
