Engine ventilation and such 140-160

What do you guys think about this idea. I was thinking, with my car, I will have a filter on one of the places, either the oil cap or the teardrop breather thing, and then a hose on the other one leading to the intake manifold. This way, there will be nothing interfering with my intake, and there will be one less hose. The hose going to the intake manifold will cause a suction through the whole system, and thus draws in air through the filter on the other ventilation "port". Right now, i just have it setup with a filter on one end, and nothing on the other, but it is ok for now.
What do you guys think?

-Kyle, back at home, WITH MY CAR! Well actually, i'm leaving in 15 min, for the airport, for Germany. BUT, yesterday I drove my car home from salem, took it up to oh 70ish, kinda noisy, specially with the 1st gear chunks in there, but the tranny sounds like it is getting a little quieter, the chunks are breaking up maybe. Either way, when i get back i will be FINALLY draining the system and refilling it. I want to see the now reflective gear oil...
