steel wheels on a 740? 700 1988

My 88 740T has two wheels that are warped (5 spoke aluminum). One of the wheels is warped in such away that it is hard to tell without putting it on a balancer. I called around the junkyards and found a couple of sets of 15" 10 slots. Are they any less prone to warpage than the 5 spokes (which I understand are bad about warping)? And what about steel wheels and wheel covers like my 240 has. Did the 740's ever come with steel wheels? All of the ones I have seen in this area have alloy rims. Seems like nice steel wheels would be a lot more stable than the factory alloys that I have experience with.

Thanks,
David
