I replaced the original electric external fuel pump on my fuel injected 71 1800E with a NAPA(Yeah I know but it was $150 Vs $390 from Volvo) The original had three lines Napa had two. I removed the T that two lines fed and was extra careful not to get anything into the lines. Replaced the fuel filter with new same kind of filter. No leaks so it fired and ran and died. Three or four times? I thought it was just air. Then it wouldn't hit / thought I'd flooded it. Waited 30 minutes No Hit! Waited until morning / Still no hit. No leaks but it won't start. Checked directional filter / ok no kinks in the lines? I've tried it with and without letting the pump running for a few seconds still no hit? You can hear the pump running and everything has been running fine prior to this. Anyone have any ideas or checks I can make? Thanks Bob
